Used aluminum is the most important raw material in aluminum production. Since aluminum materials can be recovered at a rate of 100%, they can be used repeatedly in aluminum production. With aluminum recycling, not only the amount of solid matter is reduced, but also the natural resource of the bauxite mine and energy are preserved. Aluminum production from used aluminum requires 95% less energy than aluminum production from raw materials. Thus, a significant amount of energy source is preserved. When used aluminum is recycled and put into production, 99% of flue gas pollutant emissions are reduced. Recycling used aluminum means less energy and raw material consumption. By producing aluminum from used aluminum, greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced by 95% and wastewater pollution by 97%.
